Bollywood suspense action thriller, Dhund, directed by B. R. Chopra and written by Akhtar-Ul-Imaan was released on February 13, 1973. The movie starred Sanjay Khan and Zeenat Aman in lead roles while Navin Nishcol, Ashok Kumar, Danny Denzongpa, Madan Puri, Deven Verma, Jagdish Raj, Sunil Dhawan, Urmila Bhatt and Nan Palsikar also played important roles in the film. The evergreen music of the movie was directed by music director Ravi while the songs were beautifully crooned by Mahendra Kapoor, Manna Dey, Usha Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Chandrashekhar ( Navin Nischol ), whose car breaks down at an unknown place in a thick fog ( Dhund ). He finds out a house nearby and decides to go there. He knock the door of the house but gets no response. He then push the door and get shocked to see that the door is open. He sees a man on a chair in the house and ask him for the persmission to use his phone. After getting no response from the man, he goes near to him and get shocked to see that the man is dead.

Chandrashekhar decides to call police but is stopped by a women named Rani ( Zeenat Aman ), who is actually the wife of the dead man. She tells him that she has killed her husband, Ranjit Singh ( Danny Denzongpa ) because of his abuse and physical torture. Chandrashekar falls in love with her and decides to protect her from the murder case. They both lies to the police that Ranjit was killed by a unknown thief, when he tries to stop him from performing robbery. What Chandrashekhar does not know is that he has been framed in a very big case?
