Dil Diya Hai was a romantic movie released on September 8, 2006 under the banners of Practical Production and Shiv Films. The movie was directed by Aditya Datt and produced by Bala Patel. The lead roles were played by the actors Emraan Hashmi, Mithun Chakraborty, Geeta Basra and Ashmit Patel while the roles of Udita Goswami, Ranjeet and Sandeep Mehta were also important. The music of the film was directed by Himesh Reshammiya and the songs were sung by Himani Kapoor, Alisha Chinoy, Tulsi Kumar and Jayesh Gandhi.

The director Aaditya Datt who debuted with the movie Aashiq Banaya Aapne lacked script in his first film but the director is back with a good story with his second film Dil Diya Hai. The movie Dil Diya Hai didn’t have those short comings that his first film had and also the performances of the lead actors are admirable in the film. Saahil ( Emraan Hashmi ), a 27 year old guy, is running a travel agency in UK with a friend Patel ( Paresh Ganatra ) that does sight seeing in and surrounding areas of UK. But the partners are running in some miserable condition and planning to shut the company. The duo can fraud their customers also.

The main reason why they wanted more money was that Saahil’s mother was suffering from multiple renal disorders and was about to die in a hospital. Neha ( Geeta Basra ) who is on a tour of UK with her family books saahil as their tour guide. Saahi tours them around London and also tries to con their family. But he was caught red handed by Neha and they became good friends after this. Neha misses her train to Scotland and asks Saahil to take her there by road. On the way she finds that she is in love with him.
