Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi was a comic drama released on July 12,1991 under the banner of Super Cassettes Industries Ltd. The movie was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and was produced by Gulshan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. The main roles in the movie were played by Aamir Khan, Pooja Bhatt and Anupam Kher. Some good roles were played by Sameer Chitre, Rakesh Bedi and Avtar Gill. The music of the movie was given by Nadeem Saife and Shravan. The songs in the movie were sung by Sameer, Anuradha Paudwal and Abhijeet.

The movie opens with Seth Dharamchand ( Anupam Kher ) who has a daughter named Pooja ( Pooja Bhatt ). Pooja is madly in love with a movie star Deepak Kumar ( Sameer Chitre ) but her father is against the relationship. She runs away from her dad’s ship to meet her love. On her way to Bangalore, she meets Raghu Jetley ( Aamir Khan ) who is a newspaper reporter and is searching for some good gossip for his newspaper to keep his job.

Pooja seeks his help to which he agrees on the condition that he will use her love story as an article for his newspaper. Both continue the adventurous journey and later started developing feelings for each other. Raghu is scared of sharing his feelings as he is not financially sound. On the other hand Pooja too can’t share as she had already told him that she loves Deepak. Later, Pooja is getting ready on her wedding with Deepak, Raghu arrives there and Pooja expresses her feelings and finally the lovers were together.
