Dil Kya Kare was a romantic thriller released on September 24, 1999. The movie was directed by Prakash Jha and produced byVeena Devgan and Veeru Devgan. The major roles in the movie were played by Ajay Devgan, Mahima Choudhary, Kajol and Chandrachur Singh while the supporting roles were played by Farida Jalal and Laxmikant Berde.The music of the film was directed by Jatin-Lalit and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Anuradha Paudwal, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Jaspinder Narula and Sukhwinder Singh.

The movie Dil Kya Kare was a good family movie with sweet music and which was a good platform for Kajol making her comeback to the Bollywood after her marriage. It was her first movie since her marriage to Ajay Devgan. The story of the movie is about a married couple Anand ( Ajay Devgan ) and Kavita ( Mahima Choudhary ) who have a lovely daughter Neha ( Akshita Garud ). They love their child very much and can’t see her cry. For them the first priority in love was their daughter.

Soon Kavita realizes that a lady has been visiting Neha and gifting her with some gifts and toys. She make a plan to catch her and comes to know that she was Nandita Rai ( Kajol ) who is a good aunt and someone who loves Neha as much as kavita do. One day Kavita finds that Anand already knew Nandita and in fact Neha was Anand’s and Nandita’s daughter. This creates ripples in their happy family. Anand felt captivated between the love of two women whom he loved equally.
