Bollywood romantic suspense thriller, Dil Tera Deewana, directed by Lawrence D’Souza and written by Nawab Arzoo was released in the year 1996. The movie starred Saif Ali Khan and Twinkle Khanna in lead roles while Shatrughan Sinha, Shakti Kapoor, Harish Patel, Dalip Tahil, Tiku Talsania, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Raju Shrestha also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by Amar Mohile and Aadesh Srivastava in collaboration while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Abhijeet, Alka Yagnik etc.

The movie starts with young and handsome guy named Ravi Kumar ( Saif Ali Khan ), who is the spoilt arrogant son of a wealthy businessman, Kumar ( Shatrughan Sinha ). Ravi meets with a beautiful girl named Komal ( Twinkle Khanna ) and falls in love with her. However, Komal does not like his arrogant nature and tries to avoid him. He then pretends to be another guy, who looks like Ravi but lives a poor lifestyle. Komal falls in love with him and both decides to get married. Ravi has still not disclosed his secret to Komal and wants to tell her on his birthday occasion.

But problem arises when police arrives at the birthday party of Ravi and he is not Ravi actually. Ravi tries to prove to police as well as his father that he is Ravi himself but fails. Kumar is enraged with him as police tells him that the guy has killed his son, Ravi. Police arrests Ravi and take him to the police station. But Ravi manage to escape from the police custody. He get shocked to see that some other mens are also after his life. It is then he revelas that his father, Kumar is actually an underworld don and now seeks revenge from him for killing his son.
