Bollywood movie, Dil To Pagal Hai, written and directed by Yash Chopra was released on 31 October 1997. Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karishma Kapoor played the lead roles in the movie. Akshay Kumar too did a special appearance in the film. The music of the film was given by Uttam Singh. Initially, the movie was titled ‘ Maine To Mohabbat Ki Hai ‘ but after SRK’s suggestion the title was changed to Dil To Pagal Hai.

The movie starts with a dance troop run by Rahul ( Shahrukh Khan ). Nisha ( Karishma Kapoor ) is among one of the dancers of his troop and his best friend also. But Nisha is in love with him. During a show, Nisha injures her foot. Now Rahul needs a new dancer to dance in the absence of Nisha. He meets Pooja ( Madhuri Dixit ) and convince her to join the troop as she is a very good dancer as well as a singer.

Rahul and Pooja falls for each other but none of them dare to confess it. Rahul is not known to the fact that Pooja is already engaged to Ajay ( Akshay Kumar ). Pooja tries her level best to keep distance from Rahul. When Nisha comes to know about Rahul’s love for Pooja she decides to leave India. Finally Pooja tells Rahul about her engagement with Ajay. What happens next is the exciting part of the film.
