Bollywood blockbuster movie, Dil, directed by Indra Kumar was released in the year 1990. The movie starred Aamir Khan and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles while Anupam Kher and Saeed Jaffrey also played important roles in the movie. The superhit music of the film was given by the famous duo Anand-Milind and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Suresh Wadkar, Anuradha Paudwal and Sadhna Sargam. The movie did extremely well at the box office and went on to became one of the biggest hit of that year. Aamir and Madhuri won several acclaims for their terrific performance in the movie.

The movie starts with young, Raja ( Aamir Khan ) and beautiful, Madhu Mehra ( Madhuri Dixit ). While, Raja is a son of a miser kabadi, Hazariprasad ( Anupam Kher ), Madhu is a daughter of a rich business man, Mr. Mehra ( Saeed Jaafrey ). Hazariprasad is very upset with Raja. He wants his son to marry a rich girl so that he can get all the money back, which he has spent on his son. He meets with Mr. Mehra and pretends to be a millionaire businessman in front of him. Very soon they becomes good friend.

Both of them decides to convert their friendship in a relationship by getting their children married. But, Madhu and Raja disgarees to their will. They are in the same collega and supreme rivals of each other. But after a particular incident, their hate changes into love. They tells their fathers that they both are agreed to get married. Hazari and Mr. Mehra, fixes up their engagement. But unfortunately, Mr. Mehra gets to know about the reality of Hazriprasad status and he stops the engagement.
