Bollywood musical romantic drama, Do Anjaane, directed by Dulal Guha and Shafiq Ansari was released in the year 1976. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha in lead roles while Utpal Dutt, Lalita Pawar, Prem Chopra, Jagdish Raj, Pradeep Kumar, Anoop Kumar and Urmila Bhatt also played significant characters in the film. The meldoious music of the movie was directed by the well known music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were beautifully crooned by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Shivangi etc.

Naresh Dutt ( Amitabh Bachchan ) learns that he was found badly hurted on railway tracks by the couple with whom he is living right now. He has no clue of his past as he is suffering from the memory loss. One day while watching a film he realizes that the actress in the film is known to him in some way. He tries to contact the actress, Rekha Roy ( Rekha ) but fails. He then tries to put pressure on his mind to remember about his past. He succeed in doing so and realizes that Rekha is actually none other than his own wife. He then reveals that Rekha has changed her name to Sunita devi and her manager is none other than his close friend, Ranjeet Malik ( Prem Chopra ).

Naresh then remebers everything about his past that he is actually Amit Roy. He also remembers that Ranjeet was the one who tried to kill him in the past. Amit learns that his son is now ten years old. he decides to get custody of his son anyhow. He is also seeking revenge from Ranjeet. He once again enters in the life of Ranjeet and Rekha as a wealthy film producer, who wants to make a big film with Rekha.
