Bollywood action comedy drama movie, Do Aur Do Paanch, directed by Rakesh Kumar and written by Sachin Bhowmick was released on February 10, 1980. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Shashi Kapoor and Hema Malini in lead roles while Parveen Babi, Master Bitoo, Lalita Pawar, Kadar Khan, Om Prakash, Goga Kapoor, Jagdeep, Shreeram Lagoo and Sajjan also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the movie was composed by by the well known music director Rajesh Roshan while the songs were crooned by Kishore Kumar, Rajesh Roshan, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

Vijay ( Amitabh Bachchan ) and Sunil ( Shashi Kapoor ) are two conmans who always end up at the same place same time for performing robbery as a result of which always gets prisoned. They both hates each other badly. Vijay learns that an underworld don named Uncle ( Kadar Khan ) has made a plot to kidnap the child of a wealthy businessman named Seth Mathur ( Shreeram Lagoo ) from his boarding school. Vijay then arranges for fake certificates and enters in the borading school as the new games teacher named Ram. On the other hand, Sunil is assigned the same task by Uncle.

Sunil also joins the school as the music teacher named Lakshman. In the school both of thems makes many tries to kidnap the child single handedly but always fails in their attempt. Ram falls in love with the principal’s daughter, Anju ( Parveen Babi ) while Lakshman falls in love with the another teacher named Shallu ( Hema Malini ). Ram and Lakshman are still trying to out do each other to kidnap the child but are not getting success. Meanwhile Anju and Shallu reveals about their real identity and profession.
