The comedy movie Do Fantoosh was released in the year 1994 under the banner of Apna films. The movie was a joint production of two directors Sikander Bharti and Veerendra. The top roles in the movie were enacted by Amjad Khan, Jamuna, Shakti Kapoor and Sadashiv Amrapurkar while Renu Joshi, Raj Babbar, Birbal, Mohan Choti, Sonam and Subbiraj were also there in the film. Music of the film was directed by Hari Arjun and the songs were sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, Dilraj Kaur, Asha Bhosle, Alka Yagnik and Amjad Khan.

The movie Do Fantoosh was a special movie for the director Sikander Bharti who made his debut as a director with this film. As the name of the movie showcases, the story of the movie is about two people and tells the comic activities done by them. The story of the movie revolves around Veerendra Kumar ( Raj Babbar ) who is employed as a reporter with a publication called “Satyachap”. He was a true reporter and reported all the cruel activities going in the town.

The shocking news come when Veerendra investigates the shady activities going in the city and concludes that the top member of the community, Shetty ( Sadashiv Amrapurkar ), is behind these happenings in the city and thus prints a headline article in the newspaper. But before the news can be published in the paper, Shetty puts a stop on it and as a consequence Veerendra loses his job. Thus Veerendra decides to expose Shetty in some other ways.
