The family drama Do Premee was released on November 7, 1980. The movie was directed by Raj Khosla and produced by Kuldeep Sharma. The key roles in the movie were enacted by Rishi Kapoor, Deven Verma, Moushmi Chatterjee and Roopesh Kumar while I S Johar, Aruna Irani, Om Prakash, Geeta Behl, Gautam Sarin, Bhagwan and K N Singh were also there in the movie. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Asha Bhosle, Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Anuradha Paudwal and Mohammed Rafi.

The movie Do Premee was a family drama that revolved mostly arund two people named Chetan Prakash ( Rishi Kapoor ) and Payal ( Moushmi Chatterjee ). While Chetan Prakash is a young guy, Payal is a beautiful girl. Both the people are in deep love with each other and want to marry each other some day. However this could not happen as they faced oppositions from their respective fathers Daulatram ( I S Johar ) and Retired Col. Bhagwant Singh ( Om Prakash ) who wanted them to marry the person of their choice.

This resulted in some serious twist in the story. Both Chetan and Payal decide to escape from their parents’ place and marry on the run. Bhagwant Singh advertises in the newspaper for his daughter who had escaped from her house and also offered a good amount of meny to the person who tells her location. On the other side, Chetan got the job of a chauffeur and Payal also started working as a maid in the houses.
