Doodh Ka Karz was a family drama released on August 31, 1990. The movie was directed by Ashok Gaikwad and produced by Salim Akhtar. The major roles in the film were played by Jackie Shroff, Varsha Usgaonkar, Neelam Kothari and Aruna Irani while the roles of Amrish Puri, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Prem Chopra and Tom Alter were also important. The music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Anuradha Paudwal, Mohammad Aziz, Shabbir Kumar and Anand Bakshi.

Doodh Ka Karz was a hit movie of its time and was an action flick which was based on a revenge that was required to be taken by the protagonist. The movie was produced by Salim Akhtar who has always been producing hit movies. The role of the hero Jackie Shroff was quite admirable. The movie didn’t do that much as was expected when it was released but it was surely noticed. The movie has a huge list of characters playing the negative role in the film.

The backbone of the movie is the revenge. The movie starts when Suraj’s mother ( Aruna Irani ) feeds a snake with milk from her breasts and thus saves its life. When her son Suraj ( Jackie Shroff ) grow up, he falls in love with a girl Reshma ( Neelam Kothari ) and this was not liked by her father Raghuvir Singh ( Amrish Puri ). He tries to kill him and this was the time when the same snake saves his life to pay his debt. Thus the movie is titled “Doodh Ka Karz”.
