Dharmendra and Hema Malini starrer romantic thriller, Dream Girl, was released in the year 1977. The movie was directed by Pramod Chakraborthy. The other starcast of the movie includes Ashok Kumar, Dina Pathak, Asrani, Ramesh Deo, Lalita Pawar, Pinchoo Kapoor, Prem Chopra and D. K. Sapru in important characters. The melodious hit music of the movie was directed by none other than famous music director duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

The movie starts with a beautiful girl named Sapna ( Hema Malini ), who is a thief by profession but nobody knows about her real identity. She steals money from whoever she can in order to provide food and shelter to the orphans. Then she meets with an handsome hunk named Anupam Verma ( Dharmendra ), who is a wealthy guy. She pretends to be a wealthy princess in front of Anupam so that she could easily get into his heart and then house. Anupam is actually a flirty type of guy who does not believe in the institution of marraige.

Anupam falls in love with Sapna as he thinks that she is his dream girl. He brigs her his home and introduce her to his grandparents. Sapna starts living in his palatial house and soon becomes the favourite of Anupam’s grandparents. Anupam and Sapna are about to get married when Anupam reveals that Sapna was actually a prostitute in her past with the name of Champabai. What will happen next?
