Drohi was an action thriller released on October 25, 1992. The movie was directed by Ram Gopal Varma and Gurdeep Singh while the movie was produced by Boney Kapoor. The top roles in the movie were played by Nagarjuna,  Salim Ghouse, Urmila Matondkar and Silk Smita while the roles of Akash Khurana, Danny Denzongpa and Rajesh Joshi were also important. Music of the film was directed by R D Burman and the songs were sung by Asha Bhosle, Mukul Agrawal, Chitra, Vinod Rathod, Jolly Mukherjee, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Jojo Khan.

Drohi, an action movie was a completely thriller and goes well with its name. The lead role was played by the actor Nagarjuna who looked good in the action sequences. The story of the movie revolves around a notorious gangster Raghav ( Nagarjuna ) also regarded as the Hitman. Special Branch Inspector Krishna ( Salim Ghouse ) was assigned the task of catching this gangster and monitor his activities. Raghav worked under J.P. Sethi ( Danny Denzongpa ) who was a bigger gangster.

Raghav was so much required by the police force that The Mayor ( Akash Khurana ) took interest in the case personally. The Mayor granted permissions to Krishna to deal with the matter fully and employ anything he required. After some days, the Mayor gets murdered and J.P manages to make someone else confess for the assassination. But Krishna knew that the murder was committed by Raghav only. Bhavana ( Urmilla Matondkar ), Krishna’s sister was in love with Shekhar ( Nagarjuna ) who was none other than Raghav himself.
