Bollywood musical romantic family drama, Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaaye, directed by Lekh Tandon and written by Madhusudhan Kalekar was released in the year 1977. The movie starred Prem Kishen and Rameshwari in lead roles while Shashikala, Utpal Dutt, Jagdeep, Viju Khote, Iftekhar, Leela Mishra, Savita Bajaj, Shayamli, Madan Puri and Sunder also played significant characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than the famous music director Ravindra Jain while the songs were rendered by K. J. Yesudas, Hemlata etc.

The movie starts with a wealthy businessman named Harkishan ( Madan Puri ), who lives alongwith his grandson named Prem ( Prem Kishen ) in his palatial house. Prem is an aloholic and womenizer type of a guy. Harkishan wants Prem to get settled in his life by marrying someone. Prem ask him to give permission to get married with his girlfriend named Rita ( Shyamali ). He gives him the permission abd starts preparing for his marraige. But just before the marriage could happen, Harkishen suffers a heart attack.

Harkishen feels that he is not going to live more and therefore ask Prem to introduce him to Rita ( Rameshwari ). Prem introduces him to Rita and Harkishen approves him to get married with her. Rita starts looking after Harkishen and soon he starts recovering from his illness. Harkishen gives her the responsibility of whole house by giving her the keys of house and safe. It is then Harkishen revelas that the girl is actually pretending to be Rita and her real name is Kammo.
