Superhit comic caper, Dulhe Raja, directed by Harmesh Malhotra was released on July 10, 1998. The movie starred Govinda and Raveena Tandon in lead roles while Kadar Khan, Johnny Lever, Mohnish Behl, Prem Chopra, Asrani and Rana Jung Bahadur also played important roles in the movie. The superhit music of the film was given by famous music director duo Anand-Milind while the songs were sung by Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Vinod Rathod, Jaspinder Narula, Anuradha Paudwal etc. The movie was a huge box office hit of that year.

The movie starts with business tycoon, K. K. Singhania ( Kadar Khan ), who takeovers a five-star hotel named Maharaja from another businessman. But the problem arises when he finds out that a guy named Raja ( Govinda ) is running a Dhaba just in front of his hotel. This affects his hotel business and he starts planning against Raja. He wants to get rid of Raja’s dhaba anyhow. Singhania tries to lure Raja for several things but he simple disagrees. The Singhania uses his influence to remove Raja’s dhaba from there but once again he fails. Things get even worsen when Raja falls in love with Singhania’s daughter.

Singhania’s one and only daughter Kiran ( Raveena Tandon ), who loves a boxer named Rahul Sinha ( Mohnish Behl ). Singhania knows that Rahul is actually after his money and property therefore he disagrees for their marraige. Then Kiran’s decides to use Raja for teaching a lesson to her father. She pretends to be fallen in love with Raja. Initially Singhania angers on Kiran and Raja’s relationship but after he learns the real intentions of Kiran, he approves for the marriage of two much to the shock of her own daughter.
