Bollywood movie, Duniya, directed by Ramesh Talwar was released on September 18, 1984. The movie starred Rishi Kapoor and Amrita singh in lead roles while Dilip Kumar, Prem Chopra, Satyendra Kapoor, Saira Banu, Ashok Kumar, Amrish Puri, Pran, Javed Khan, Om Puri and Mac Mohan also played important characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the well knwon veteran music director Rahul Dev Burmnan while the songs were rendered by Kishore Kumar, Mahendra Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle etc.

The movie starts with a guy named Mohan Kumar ( Dilip Kumar ), who is living a happy life alongwith his wife, Sumitra ( Saira Banu ) and a son named Ravi ( Rishi Kapoor ). Because of his honesty, Mohan registers his name in the bad books of Balwant Singh Kalra ( Amrish Puri ), Jugal Kishore Ahuja ( Pran ) and Prakash Chandra Bhandari ( Prem Chopra ). The trio then makes a dirty plan against Mohan which results in the arrest of Mohan in a wrong case. Mohan is presented in court where vhe is sentenced to jail for a long term. Mohan revelas that his wife has been killed by someone and his son has gone missing. He decides to take revenge from the three culprits after getting released from the jail.

Years later, he is released from the jail. He is then helped by a guy named Dinesh Verma ( Pradeep Kumar ) in establishing him once again. He then seeks revenge from the three. But soon his presence is revealed to the trio and they send their man named ravi, who is actually Mohan’s son to keep an eye on the every activity of Mohan. Ravi somehow mangage to enter in Mohan’s life. There he falls in love with Dinesh’s daughter Roma ( Amrita Singh ) nand now decides to help Mohan. But still they both have no idea of their actual relationship.
