Bollywood musical romantic drama, Dus Lakh, directed by Devendra Goel and written by Bhakri was released in the year 1966. The movie starred Sanjay Khan and Babita kapoor in lead roles while Om Prakash, Pran, ramesh deo, Neetu Singh, Seema deo, Helen and Hari Shivdasani also played important roles in the film. The hit evergreen music of the movie was composed by the veteran music director ravi while the songs were beautifully crooned by Mohammed Rafi, Krishan Kalle, Lata mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

The movie starts with a happy go lucky man named Gokulchand ( Om Prakash ), who runs a shop of food items. He has twon sons named Manohar ( Ramesh Deo ) and Kishore ( Sanjay Khan ). Manohar is married to a women named Devki ( Seema Deo ) and has two children. On the otherhand, Kishore is studying engineering in a college. Gokulchand always dreams of becoming a rich person and to make his dream come true, he buys a lottery ticket. He ends up inheriting the wealth of his brother, Nihalchand. The whole family then moves into a palatial house.

Both Gokulchand and Manohar stop working anymore. Gokulchand then decides to go on a holiday to Kashmir. Meanwhile Kishore falls in love with a beautiful girl named Rita ( Babita Kapoor ) and decides to get married to her. He get engaged with her in the absence of Gokulchand as he is fully aware of the fact that Gokulchand will never allow him to get married to a poor girl like Rita. But the whole family get a shock of their life when Gokulchand enters in the house alongwith his girlfriend, Dolly Little ( Manorama ).
