Eeshwar was a romantic family drama released on February 24, 1989 under the banner of Bharti International. The movie was directed by K Vishwanath and produced by Malikarjun Rao. The main roles in the movie were played by Anil Kapoor, Asha Sachdev, Vijay Shanti and Saeed Jaffrey while the roles of Gulshan Grover, Vinod Mehra, Bharti Achrekar and Sadashiv Amrapurkar were also important. The music of the film was directed by Laxmikant Kudalkar and Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Suresh Wadkar, Nitin Mukesh and Kavita Krishnamurthy.

Since he was true and simple, nobody liked him. He marries a widow named Lalita ( Vijay Shanti ) with a young son and this was not liked by the society. Ishwar has a new task now to look after his bride and ensure proper upbringing of his son.
