Bollywood action thriller, Ek Phool Do Mali, directed by Devendra Goel and written by Mushtaq Jalili was released in the year 1969. The movie starred Sanjay Khan and Sadhana Shivdasani in lead roles while Balraj Sahani, Durga Khote, David Abraham, Abhimanyu Sharma, Shyam Kumar and Shabnam also played significant roles in the film. The music of the movie was directed by the well known music director Ravi while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Manna Dey and Asha Bhonsle. The movie performed well at the box office window.

The movie starts with young and handsome, Amar Kumar ( Sanjay Khan ), who is a student in a mountaineering school run by a wealthy person, Kailash Nath Kaushal ( Balraj Sahni ). Amar meets with a beautiful girl named Somna ( Sadhana Shivdasani ) and falls in love with her. Somna works in the apple farm of Kailash Nath and lives with her widowed mother, Leela ( Durga Khote ). Amar and Somna decides to get married with their parents permission. Their marriage is scheduled after Amar returns from a climbing expedition. But tragedy struks and Somna recives the news of death of Amar.

A criminal named Shamsher Singh ( Shyam Kumar ) molests Somna. Somna becomes pregnant and the Kailash Nath comes to her rescue and offers to marry her. Soon they get married and Somna gives birth to a child and names him Bobby. After some time Somna also starts developing feeling for Kailash Nath and accepts him as her husband by heart. But Somna gets shocked to see Amar alive. She learns that Amar was never died in the accident but lost his memory for some time and was taken care by some villagers. What will happen now?
