The comic movie Emi is going to release on October 29, 2008 under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and Popcorn Motion Pictures. The movie is being directed by Saurabh Kadra and produced by Sunil Shetty. The top roles in the movie are played by Sanjay Dutt, Aashish Chaudhary, Malaika Arora and Arjun Rampal while the significant roles are played by Neha Uberoi and Urmila Matondkar. Music of the film is directed by Chirantan Bhatt and the songs are sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Sanjay Dutt, Suzan, Earl and Mohit Chauhan.

Emi is the most discussed film of actor Sanjay Dutt since he was behind the bars and is his second film after his release. Emi better known as Easy Monthly Installment is a procedure of bill payment when you want to buy something. The movie displays the life of people who takes loan to buy something but fails to pay its emi on time and the consequences of it. The story of the movie revolves around a young couple Anil and Shilpa who decides to get married and start a new life in a new house. Their expenses get increased as they need new furniture and want to travel to some foreign location for their honeymoon.

Ryan who is a musician from heart works as a DJ and is a hit especially among the girls. He can impress any girl but falls for a beautiful and a hot girl Nancy. Before getting married he comes to know that living with her would not be easy as she is an expensive girl. But he challenges his life and takes a risk. A middle class 52 year old man Chandrakant is living with his young son Arjun. He did everything for him and after the loss of his mother, he was his only hope. Everything was fine until one day when Arjun asked him for foreign education. He had no option but to take loan.
