Bollywood musical romantic thriller flick, Fanah, directed by Kunal Kohli and written by Shibani Bhatija was released on May 26, 2006. The movie starred Aamir Khan and Kajol in lead roles while Rishi Kapoor, Tabu, Sharat Saxena, Jaspal Bhatti, Shiney Ahuja, Ahmed Khan, Satish Shah, Lilete Dubey, Vrajesh Hirjee, Gautami Kapoor, Shruti Seth, Kiron Kher and Sanaya Irani also played important characters in the film. The hit melodious music of the movie was directed by the hit music director duo Jatin Lalit while the songs were rendered by Shaan, Kailash Kher, Sonu Nigam, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kavita Krishnamurthy etc.

The movie starts with a young and beautiful but blind girl named Zuni ( Kajol ), who is living alongwith her parents in Kashmir. Her father is Zulfikar Baig ( Rishi Kapoor ). She goes on a trip to Delhi alongwith her friends. There she meets with a guy named Rehan Khan ( Aamir Khan ), who is also their tourist guide. Rehan and Zuni falls in love with each other after spending sometime together. They even get intimate with each other. Zuni get shocked to learn that Rehan has been killed in a bomb blast performed by a deadly terrorist.

Zuni returns to her house and gives birth to a child. She names him Rehan. Zuni also gets required medical treatment and the light of her eyes comes back. Then Rehan ( Aamir Khan ) once again enters in their life, this time as an army officer. But Zuni fails to recognize him. She provides medical treatment to injured Rehan, who introduces himself as Captain Rajvir Singh to her. But soon Zuni reveals that he is actually Rehan. But she get shocked to learn the real identity of Rehan that he is a deadly terrorist.
