Bollywood acton thriller, Farz, was released on January 11, 2001. The movie starred Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta in lead roles while Jackie Shroff and Om Puri were seen in the supporting roles. The music of the film was given by Uttam Singh and the songs were sung by Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Lata Mangeshkar, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, Richa Sharma, KK and Sunidhi Chauhan. The film was not a big box office hit but managed to do average business at the box office window.

The movie starts with ACP Arjun Singh ( Om Puri ), whose brother-in-law get killed in a severe terrorist attack. DCP Karan Singh ( Sunny Deol ) is his new partner in police force. But Arjun Singh is not happy with the way Karan break the rules to do justice at time. Arjun Singh and Karan are assigned a task to catch the terrorist Gawa Firozi ( Jackie Shroff ). Meanwhile, Arjun Singh’s daughter, Kaajal ( Preity Zinta ) falls in love with Karan after he saves her from some criminals.

But when Arjun comes to know about this he get dangerously angered on her. Karan gets the information that Gawa Firozi and his brother, Sikander ( Mukesh Tiwari ), is in the city. In the process of catching them both, Karan accidently kills Sikander. Gawa Firozi also get arrested by him. But Gawa warns him that he will definetely take the revenge of his brother’s death. What happens next worth a watch.
