The romantic thriller Fida was released on August 20, 2004 under the banner of Tips Music Films. The movie was directed by Ken Ghosh and produced by Kumar S Taurani. The actors in the lead roles were Fardeen Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Kim Sharma while the supporting roles were played by Akhilendra Mishra and Viju Khote. The music of the film was directed by Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Sapna Mukherjee, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam and Alisha Chinoy.

Ken Ghosh’s previous film Ishq Vishq might have urged you to think that his next film Fida would also be a romantic movie like that then you should rethink. Fida is story with some difference. The tagline of the movie Fida would let you know everything which is “Not all love stories have a perfect ending”. The movie tells the tale of three individuals Jai ( Shahid Kapoor ), Neha ( Kareena Kapoor ) and Vikram ( Fardeen Khan ). Jai is a romantic guy who was in love with Neha who also fell in love with him due to his loving nature. Vikram is a rich man who gets everything whatever he wanted.

Jai is a happy-go-lucky type of person who is completely floored by the hot babe Neha. What Neha found impressive about him was his determination to gain her love. Then there is another guy but a rich man Vikram who knew exactly what was required to draw her attention over him. The twists in the movie come when there is some fraud of Rs 55 million in a bank account of a don Babu Anna ( Akhilendra Mishra ). Babu was in no mood to spare the criminal. Then there develops tensions between Vikram and Jai.
