Bollywood movie, Gambler, directed by Dayal Nihlani was released in the year 1995. The movie starred Govinda and Shilpa Shetty in lead roles while Aditya Pancholi, Raj Babbar and Gulsan Grover also played significant characters in the film. The music of the film was given by famous music director Anu Malik and the songs were sung by Kumar Sanu, Vinod Rathod, Sadhna Sargam, Alisha Chinai and Devang Patel. The movie recieved an overwhelming response from the audience and therefore performed very well at the box office.

The movie is about a young police officer played by ( Govinda ) who despite being a police officer always try to make his relationship good with the criinals. He has no guts to face a criminal as a strict and loyal police officer. He fears from the death and therefore always tries to avoid interfering in any activity associated with criminals. He also falls in love with a beautiful girl ( Shilpa Shetty ).

But one day his life got changed totally when he comes to know that he has only six month left of his life. He becomes worried about his family’s future. He decides to take risk in his life so that if dies in any accident then his family will have a handsome insurance which they can utilize in their future. But his luck didn’t cooperate and everytime he tries to get killed in an attack from criminals, he get saved by his luck.
