Gawaahi was a social movie released in the year of 1989. The movie was directed by Anant Balani and produced by Adiya Raj and Rajiv Mehra. The top roles in the movie were played by Shekhar Kapoor, Ranjeeta, Zeenat Aman and Tanuja while Vikram Gokhale, Vivek Vaswani and Ashutosh Gowarikar were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Uttam Jagdish.

The female lead was played by Zeenat Aman who acted in many hit movies earlier like Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Satyam Shivam Sundaram Ameer Admi Garib Admi while her first movie was Hulchal released in 1971.
