The movie Ghar Ek Mandir was a family drama released on March 8, 1984. The movie was produced by K Ravi Shankar and A Krishanamoorthy while the director of the movie was K Bapaiah. The main roles in the movie were played by Shashi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty, Ranjeeta and Raj Kiran. Some nice roles were played by Suresh Oberoi, Prem Chopra, Aruna Irani and Shakti Kapoor. She was a nominee for Filmfare award as the best actress for Anuraag in which she played the role of a blind girl. The other male lead in the film was played by Shashi Kapoor who has acted in movies like Ram Darshan released in 1950, Holiday In Bombay released in 1963 and Roti Kapada Aur Makan released in 1974 while his first film as an actor was Tadbir released in 1945.
