The family drama Ghar Ho To Aisa was released on April 27, 1990. The movie was directed by Kalpataru and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. The key roles in the movie were played by Anil Kapoor, Deepti Naval, Meenakshi Seshadri and Reeta Bhaduri while the presence of Omprakash, Dalip Tahil, Bindu, Saeed Jaffrey and Kader Khan supported the film. The music of the film was directed by Bappi Lahiri and the songs were sung by Sudesh Bhonsle, Asha Bhonsle, Mohammed Aziz, Alka Yagnik and Kavitha Krishnamurthy.

As suggested by the title of the movie Ghar Ho To Aisa, the film was a family drama. The movie was directed by Kalpataru and the story of the movie revolves around the Kumar family. The Kumar family was a joint and huge family consisting of Ramprasad ( Saeed Jaffrey ), his wife Durga ( Bindu ); their married son, Vijay ( Raj Kiran ), his wife Sharda ( Deepti Naval ), their daughter Pinky; a married daughter who lives with them, Kanchan ( Rita Bhaduri ), her husband Bajrangi ( Kader Khan ), and an unmarried and unemployed son, Amar ( Anil Kapoor ).

The life of Sharda was miserable in the house and everyone in the house excluding Bajrangi and Amar liked to bully and abuse her and that too without any reason. Especially Kanchan and Durga who didn’t need any reason to beat, scold and even burn her arm with the hot water, liked humiliating her. Amar finds a job with Dwarkaprasad ( Satyendra Kapoor ), and falls in love with his daughter, Seema ( Meenakshi Sheshadri ). One day Amar has to go to Delhi, but when he returned he was shocked to see Seema missing.
