The animated movie Ghatothkach was released on May 23, 2008 under the banner of Sun Animatics India P. Ltd. and Shemaroo Entertainment. The movie is a Devotional, Mythological drama directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by Vinod Suryadevara and Smita Maroo. The movie has no human actors involved but the songs of the movie are sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, Shravan Iyer, S.P.Balasubramaniam, Daler Mehndi, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Shreya Ghosal, Shaan and Sudesh Bhosle. The music of the film is directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao.

These days many animated films are being produced and this one, Ghatothkach was produced after seeing the great success of the animated movie ‘Bal Ganesh’ which was also released by Shemaroo Entertainment. The movie is completely named as “Ghatothkach - Master of Magic”. The film was released in seven languages in India (the most for any animation film in India) and the producers of the movie have made sure that the animation quality of the movie is of high and international standards so that it can grip the audience well and keep interested.

The movie is a complete mix of the good animation and songs. Ghatothkach is made in Bollywood style and is quite good to be watched not only by the children but by the entire family.
