Songs of Ghulam-E-Mustafa
The movie Ghulam-E-Mustafa was an action and social drama released on October 31,1997. The movie was directed by Partho Ghosh and produced was by P G Shrikant. The lead roles in the movie were played by Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal and Shivaji Satam. Other roles were played by Raveena Tondon, Mohnish Behl and Aruna Irani. The music director was Rajesh Roshan and the singers were Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Hariharan and Kavita Krishnamurthy.
The movie revolves around Ghulam-E-Mustafa ( Nana Patekar ) who works for Shanta Prasad ( Paresh Rawal ). Dayanand Dixit ( Shivaji Satam ) was an honest government officer with high moral values. Shanta Prasad wanted Dixit’s property and assigned this task to Mustafa. He forcefully started living with the Dixit family, so that he could throw them out of the house. Mrs. Dixit hated Mustafa, a Muslim invading their Brahmin family.
Mustafa fell in love with Kavita (Raveena Tandon), who is a bar dancer. Kavita gets killed in an attack on Mustafa, this changed him and his life completely. Bipin Verma ( Mohnish Behl ) had an eye on Dixit’s daughter and traps Dixit in a fraud case. Mustafa, impressed by Dixit family’s self esteem now had only one motive to help and care the Dixits. In the end, Mustafa dies and also kills Shanta Prasad. The movie presents an idea of equality of religions.
