Gopi Kishen was an action and comedy flick released on December 2, 1994. The movie was directed as well as produced by Mukesh Duggal. The lead roles in the movie were played by Sunil Shetty, Suresh Oberoi, Shilpa Shirodkar and Karisma Kapoor while the roles of Aruna Irani, Mohan Joshi, Shammi and Mushtaq Khan were also significant. The music of the film was directed by Anand Chitragupt and Milind Chitragupt while the songs were sung by Poornima, Aroon Bakshi, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik.

Gopi Kishen was an action cum comedy movie that had good doses of comedy at regular interval of time. The story of the movie revolves only about two guys Gopinath and Kishan ( both Sunil Shetty ). While Gopinath lives a struggling life with his son, Tinku, wife, Chanda ( Shilpa Shirodkar ) and mother, Kishan is a modern and strong guy. Gopinath worked in the police force and is their long term employee but never received any award or praise from his senior.

Gopinath is a devotee of Lord Hanuman and regularly visits the temple. One day he prayed for increment and got it some day but due to his hard work at his duty. Once his son Tinku gets kidnapped by a gangster Sawant ( Mohan Joshi ) and was required to visit him to negotiate. There he comes to know about Kishan, who wa his look alike and may be the reason for his encounters resulting in his promotion amd increments. Barkha ( Karishma Kapoor ) was the daughter of the commissioner and loved Kishan.
