Bollywood yesteryear classic hit movie, Gora Aur Kala, directed by Naresh Kumar was released in the year 1972. the movie starred Rajendra Kumar and Hema Malini in lead roles while Rekha, Prem Chopra, Prem Nath, Madan Puri, Kamal Kapoor, Sulochana Latkar, Jagdeep, Dev Kumar and Rajan Haksar also played significant characters in the movie. the melodious music of the film was directed by the veteran music director duo, Laxmikant-Pyarelal while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, Lata Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar etc. The main highlight of the movie was that actor Rajendra Kumar played double role in the movie for the first time in his career.

Maharaja ( Dev Kumar ) of a kingdom recieves the news that his wife has given birth to twin sons. But before he could actually announce his joy, he is brutally killed by his enemies, Zohravar Singh ( Madan Puri ) and Shamsher Singh ( Prem Chopra ). They both take over his kingdom. They both even goes to kill the twin sons of Maharaja, but before they could kill them, Prithvi ( Prem Nath ) and Dilawar ( Kamal Kapoor ), manage to save the children. One child becomes black in colour because of a blodd disorder and it even leaves his left arm paralyzed for ever. This child is brought up by a daciot after the murder of Dilawar by Zohravar’s mens. He names the child, Kali Singh ( Rajendra Kumar ).

The other son is brought up by Prithvi Singh and is named as Karan Singh ( Rajendra Kumar ). Karan meets with the beautiful princess named Anuradha ( Hema Malini ) and falls in love with her. Anuradha too falls for her. Kali performs robbery at Anuradha’s mahal and after getting fascinated by her beauty, also robs her for himself. Anuradha becomes frightened after seeing Kali’s face and straightaway rejects his love offer. Anuradha somehow manage to escape from there. Karan and Kali learns about their relationship and reunite to free their mother and also to take revnege from their father’s enemies. But there is one thing which may create a big difference between the twin brothers - Anuradha.
