Bollywood suspense thriller, Gunaah, written and directed by Mahesh Bhatt was released on 16 ctober 2002. The movie starred Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu in lead roles while Irfan Khan and Ashutosh Rana played also played an important role in the movie. The movie was distributed under the banner of Vishesh Films. The melodious music of the film was given by music director duo Sajid Wajid and the songs were sung by Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Roop Kumar Rathod, Sabri Brothers, Kumar Sanu and Babul Supriyo.

The movie starts with a cop named Prabha Narayan ( Bipasha Basu ), who is continously being haunted by the bad experiences of her past life. She is a a daughter of a prostitue and had some very bad childhood memories. Then she meets with a criminal Aditya Kashyap ( Dino Moreo ), who is a very good human being by nature but took the criminal route after facing the truth of the the system of the country. Aditya makes a strong impression on Prabha by saving her life when she was about to fall of from the rooftop of a building.

Prabha then decides to learn all things about Aditya’s life and to reform him again in a good person. But after spending some time with Aditya, she feels herself falling in love with him. Aditya too feels the same for her. But the real problem arises when Aditya escapes from the police custody. Aditya once again starts killing people with solid reasons. And this time, Prabha has no other option then kill him for the sake of other’s life.
