Bollywood action thriller, Guneghar, directed by Vikram Bhatt was released on January 6, 1995. The movie starred Mithun Chakraborthy and Pooja Bhatt in lead roles while Atul Agnihotri, Tisca Chopra, Kiran Kumar, Ishrat Ali, Mushtaq Khan, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Girija Shankar and Anil Nagrath also plyed important roles in the film. The music of the movie was directed by the music director Shyam Sunder while the songs were rendered by Vinod Rathod, Kumar Sanu, Sudesh Bhonsle, Alka Yagnik and Sadhana Sargam.

The movie starts with two terrorists, Habibullah ( Kiran Kumar ) and his younger brother, Munna ( Vishwajeet Pradhan ), who wants to make Kashmir free from India at any cost. But the only terror in their mind is D.I.G Ajay Thakur ( Mithun Chakraborthy ), who has killed their several important fellowmens. Ajay’s family consist of his younger sister, Pooja Thakur ( Pooja Bhatt ) only. Pooja meets with a handsome young guy named Rohit( Atul Agnihotri ) and soon they both falls in love with each other.

But there is a secret of Rohit which Pooja has no idea about. Rohit is acually the part of the terrorist group run by Habibullah. Rohit has been assigned the task of abducting Pooja at any cost so that they can emotionally blackmail Ajay Thakur. Rohit abducts Poojaand brings her in front of Habibullah. What will Ajay do now? How will he stop Habibullah from spreading teroor in the region? What about Pooja and Rohit?
