Songs of Guru
Guru was a romantic that released on January 12, 2007 under the banner of Madras Talkies. The movie was directed by Mani Ratnam and produced by G Srinivasan. The lead roles were played by actors Abhishek Bachchan, Mallika Sherawat, Aishwarya Rai, Arya Babbar and Mithun Chakraborty while Madhavan, Vidya Balan, Roshan Seth and Sachin Khedekar also played important roles in the film. Music of the film was directed by A R Rahman and the songs were sung by Shreya Ghosal, Bappi Lahiri, Alka Yagnik, Hariharan and Udit Narayan.
The movie Guru is about a story of a man who has great dreams and visions to be famous. The story of the movie is abut Gurukant Desai ( Abhishek Bachchan ) who wanted to make his name in the business industry. The story is based on the life achievements of a great person and a visionary Dhirubhai Ambani. Guru belonged to a small village called Idhar situated in Gujarat and comes from a humble family. His father was a headmaster and was a man of morals but Guru dreamt always big. He was very confident and believed that it is only he who can write his destiny.
Guru moved from Gujarat to Mumbai to start a business and during that time it was almost impossible for a newcomer to set up his own business. But he believed nothing was impossible to achieve and so he reached Mumbai with his wife Sujata ( Aishwarya Rai ) and brother-in-law Shyam Saxena ( R. Madhavan ). It was his ambitions more than two shirts and Rs.15,000, which he brought from village, that made him successful. His unlawful ways of earning money also turns friends to foes like Nanaji ( Mithun Chakraborty ).
