Hanuman Returns was yet another production of Bollywood under the animated series of our Hindu Mythology and was released on 28th December 2007. The movie was directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Vinu Thomas and Sumit Kumar. The story of the film has been written by the director himself. The music of the film was directed by Tapas Relia. The songs of the movie were sung by Daler Mehndi, Adnan Sami, Mangal Mishra, Vijay Prakash, Shravan, Sneha, Aparna, Armaan, Hrishikesh, Neuman, Francois and Shazneen.

The name of the movie might indicate to you that this film is a sequel to any previous film produced on Hanuman but the fact is that it bears no link to them. Infact the movie is based on mythological drama combined with today’s modern world. The movie is also based on fiction in which you can see Gabbar Singh and even the voices of duplicates of Shahrukh Khan, Raj Kumar etc. The movie begins with the battle of Gods and Devils led by Rahu Ketu. The devils charge at the Gods and Lord Vishnu comes to their rescue. Vishnu throws the guru of the Devils Shukhracharya into space who becomes the planet Venus.

Lord Hanuman asked Lord Brahma to send him to earth again as a kid. Brahma agrees and decides to send him again as a kid to a pundit and his wife, Shiela but with a deal of several do’s and don’t’s. His parents get to know about his special abilities when he started walking when he was one month old and talking when he was three months old. They named him Maruti. Maruti soon started going to school and this time it was the bullies who feared a new student. The responsibility to save humans is now on the shoulders of this cute, baby Hanuman.
