Haqeeqat an action thriller was released on December 29. 1995. The movie was directed under the guidance Kuku Kohli and was produced by N R Pachisia. The lead roles in the movie were played by Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Aruna Irani and Mohan Joshi. The story was written by Prafuk Parikh and Rajiv Kaul and was edited by Kuldeep Mehan. The music of the movie was given by Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen while the singers were Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan and Hariharan.

The story revolves around Raja ( Ajay Devgan ) who is a gangster and is moved to another city for his safety from police. There Raja meets a widow Sudha ( Tabu ) and gets attracted to her. She too motivates Raja to give up all crime and lead a simple, honest life. But this wasn’t accepted by his gang members and the couple’s faith was hindered. One of the local police officer ACP Shiv Charan ( Amrish Puri ) becomes Raja’s friend and helps him to get Sudha.

The twist arises when Raja turns out to be the person who killed Sudha’s husband. Thus he was threatened by his gang members and was put in a crime to kill the minister. Raja unwillingly to save his love kills the minister and his friend ACP becomes his arch rival. Will Raja sail through this situation? Will Sudha accept his husband’s murderer? It is a typical bollywood movie.
