Bollywood romantic movie, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, directed by Raj Kanwar was released on July 2000. The movie starred Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee in lead roles while Paresh Rawal, Kamini Kaushal, Sana Saeed, Asrani, Shakti Kapoor, Satish Shah, Ajit Vachani and Vinay Pathak also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the f the film was given by Anu Malik and Surindra Singh Sodhi in collaboration while the songs were rendered by Udit Narayan, Anu Malik, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam and Kay Kay. The movie did well at the box office. Bollywood superstar, Shahrukh Khan was also seen playing a brief appearance in the film.

Young and handsome Raj ( Salman Khan ) wants to be a famous rock star and therefore moves to Mumbai for fulfilling his dreams. But he fails to get a chance to sing in any renowned music company. One night, he rescues a girl named Pooja Obeori ( Rani Mukherjee ) from a certain death. He admits her to hospital but she fall into a coma. Raj learns that Pooja is the daughter of a rich businessman. Pooja’s family rushes to the hospital and because of some misunderstanding assumes that Raj is Pooja’s husband.

Raj first tries to tell them that he is not Pooja’s husband Romi but later agrees to pretend Romi for few time when he learns that being Romi he can easily start his singing career. But problem arises when Pooja’s best friend, Jahnvi ( Preity Zinta ) arrives there. Raj falls in love with her but is unable to tell her that he is not Pooja’s husband. In addition to this, pooja also revives from her coma and falls in love with Raj. Now Raj has to choose whether he wants to go with his singing career or with his true love, Jahnvi?
