David Dhawan directed, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, was released on 25th June 1999. The movie starred Sanjay Dutt and Govinda in lead roles while Karsihma Kapoor and Pooja Batra played the female lead in the film. The other actors who played important roles in the movie are Kader Khan and Anupam Kher. The music of the movie is given by Anu Malik and Aadesh Shrivastav. The film proved out to be a huge box office success of that year.

The movie revolves around Amirchand ( Kader Khan ) and his two mischieves but loving sons Sonu ( Sanjay Dutt ) and Monu ( Govinda ). Both of them always play prank on Amirchand in order to get money for their extra needs. One day they call up their father as a gangster and ask him for a huge amount. But Amirchand comes to know about their plan and throw them out from his house.

Amirchand warns his sons to become serious and workcentric if they want to live in his home. He makes a plan and seperate the borthers by sending Sonu to Goa for getting the money he has given to someone in the past. In the meanwhile Sonu and Monu finds their love in Pooja ( Pooja Batra ) and Ritu ( Karishma Kapoor ). Both Ritu and Pooja are the daughter of a business man Gulzarilal ( Anupam Kher ). Sonu asks Monu to come to Goa for fixing up his and Pooja’s marriage. What both of brother do in Gulzarilal’s home and how Amirchand finds them is the rest of the story.
