The movie Hastey Hastey has been released on May 30, 2008 under the banner of Go Cam Films P. Ltd. The movie that comes under the genre of Romance has been directed by Tony and Ramanjit Juneja and produced by Ashutosh Bajpay and Shivaram Kumar. The movie is neither fully romantic nor fully comedy and features debutant Nisha Rawal and a triple role by Rajpal Yadav. Neel ( Jimmy Shergill ) studies at Columbia University and is a brilliant student. He is also a romantic person who believes that to achieve our goals, we must follow our heart and to face the challenges in our lives we should always remain happy. Maya Fernandez ( Nisha Rawal ) belongs to an upper class Catholic Family but is a down to earth gal who is deep love with Neel. She is in a situation where she has to choose between her father and Neel and she does by following her heart. Sunny Malhotra ( Rajpal Yadav ) is Neel’s room mate and his good friend who tends to attract difficult situations towards him.

Sunny is never happy with one girl and wants to date as many as he can. Tanvi ( Monishka ) who is a beautiful call center manager helps Neel and tries to attract him. The broken hearted then decides to take revenge from him. The family man Mad Uncle ( Rajpal Yadav ) takes care of his family and follows a misconception that Sunny is a gay and thus tries to keep him away from Neel. Rajpal’s Father ( Rajpal Yadav ) who lives in India, on finding Neel’s lifestyle orders him to return soon. Neel is all set to get marry with the love his life Maya and settle in New York.
