The musical family drama Hathon Ki Lakeer was released in the year of 1986. The movie was directed as well as produced by Chetan Anand. The top roles in the movie were played by Sanjeev Kumar, Kamal Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Zeenat Aman while Priya Rajvansh, Bharat Bhushan and Yash Pandit were also there in the film. The music of the film was directed by Pyare Mohan while the songs were sung by Mahendra Kapoor. The lyrics of the movie were given by Hasan Kamaal.

The movie Hathon Ki Lakeer was a social family movie that revolved mostly around a lady named Geeta Mohan ( Zeenat Aman ) who is a poor girl living with her widowed mother in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat. She earns her living by working as a nurse in a hotel run by Dr. Bhanu Pratap ( Sanjeev Kumar ). One day she comes across a man named Lalit Mohan Singh ( Jackie Shroff ) and instantly falls in love with him. He is a wealthy man living with his widowed father in a big house.

Lalit wanted to marry Geeta but the movie takes a turn when he was forced to go abroad and leave Geeta behind. He does that leaving behind Geeta who is now pregnant. She gives birth to Lalit’s son but was told that she had given birth to a lifeless son. Lalit returns India after six long years to cremate his father, relocates Geeta and this initiates a spark between them. The two get married. Geeta gets pregnant and this time her child was lifeless.
