Bollywood movie, Heer Ranjha, directed by Chetan Anand and written by Kaifi Azmi was released on June 19, 1970. The movie starred Raaj Kumar and Priya Rajvansh in lead roles while Prithviraj Kapoor, Pran, Jayant, Ajit, Nana Palsiker, Kamini Kaushal, Indrani Mukherjee, Jagdish Raj and Jeevan also played important rolesin the film. The melodious hit evergreen music of the movie was directed by the veteran music director Madan Mohan while the songs were rendered by Mohammed rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Noor Jehan and Shamshad Begum.

The movie starts with young and handsome, Ranjha ( Raaj Kumar ) who meets with a girl named Heer ( Priya Rajvansh ) and falls in love with her. Heer too gets attracted towards him and soon they both fall in love with each other. But fate has something else in store for the love birds as they both are forced to get seperated because of a big difference in their society. Ranjah is a poor guy while Heer belongs to a reputed wealthy family. Heer’s parents does not want Heer to love someone which is not same in their status.

However, Heer is determined to get married to ranjha at any cost. They both wants to have a happy life together in future. But will they be able to fullfill their dream of living together. What will happen to these two love birds? Raaj Kumar and Priya Rajvansh has made this movie a remarkable one through their excellent acting performance.
