Bollywood patrioctic action thriller, Hindustan Ki Kasam, directed by Veeru devgan was released in the year 1999. The movie starred Ajay Devgan and Sushmita Sen in lead roles while Manisha koirala, Farida Jalal, Amitabh Bachchan, Naveen Nishcol, Prem Chopra, Kadar Khan, Gulshan Grover, Shahbaaz Khan, Goga Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor and Kashmira Shah also played important roles in the film. the melodious hit music of the film was directed by Sukhwinder Singh while the songs were crooned by Udit Narayan, Jaspinder Narula, Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet, Poornima, Asha bhonsle, Sonu Nigam and Sukhwinder Singh himself.

The movie starts with famous novel writer, Ajay ( Ajay Devgan ), who is living a happy life with his mother ( Farida Jalal ) and his uncle, Retired army man named Kabeera ( Amitabh Bachchan ). Ajay falls in love with a beautiful girl named Priya ( Sushmita Sen ) and decides to get married with her soon. He goes to a hill station for spending some time with her girlfriend Priya. He is kidnapped by two armymen from there and is taken to their head, B. S. Barar ( Prem Chopra ). Barar suspects Ajay of killing some of his brave mens as his novel’s stories consists of the pattern in which the killing were performed.

Ajay tries to convince them that he has not killed any of their men but they refuse to believe him. Then they take him to a physchiatarist who hyptonize him and learns tha truth. After examining him, physchiatarist tells the army men that Ajay is telling truth. But Ajay becomes suspicious about certain things and for learning the truth he confronts his mother. His mother tells him that his twin brother was kidnapped by a terrorist in childhood and may be he is doing all these killing. Ajay decides to seacrh for his brother, Tauqeeb, who is planning to do something big in India.
