Hip Hip Hurray was a social offbeat movie released in the year 1984. The director of the movie was Prakash Jha and the producer was Manmohan Shetty. The lead roles in the movie were played by Raj Kiran, Deepti Naval, Deepa and Satish Anand. Some good roles were played by Shaffi Nikhil and Ram Gopal Bajaj. The music of the movie is marvelous with some very good songs. The singers were Amit Kumar, Anuradha Paudwal, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. The cinematography was done by Rajan Kothari.

The movie opens with Sandeep Chaudhary ( Raj Kiran ) who is an engineer. He tried hard to get a good job, but in vain, so he takes up the job of a football coach in a small school. As we all know sports are not considered important in schools and the stress is given on studies. The school’s team was loosing matches and the reputation of the school was going down. As a coach he challenges the opponents for a football match. To win the match he has to deal with the team of rude boys.

All this was a challenge for Sandeep. None of his colleagues were interested in helping him except a teacher ( Deepti Naval ). She helps him in every possible manner. Soon both developed feelings for each other and were in love. On the other hand Sandeep wins the confidence of the boys with love and affection. He trains his team with sincerity and dedication. Soon the final day arrived and Sandeep’s team wins. All the colleagues and parents admired Sandeep for his work.Now the school was a reputed one
