The romantic comedy film Home Delivery was released on December 2, 2005 under the banners of Sahara One and Percept Picture Company. The movie was directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Shabbir Boxwala. The actors in the top roles were Boman Irani, Ayesha Takia, Vivek Oberoi and Mahima Choudhary. There were special appearances by Juhi Chawla, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar and Sunil Shetty. Music of the film was directed by Vishal-Shekhar and the songs were sung by Shaan, K K, Vaishali and Sunidhi Chauhan.

Home Delivery is the movie with some different story and is based on the topic that it just takes not more than a day to change the point of view of a person towards life. It is a story that revolves around Sunny Malhotra ( Vivek Oberoi ), a 28 year old man working for the Times of Hidustan as a writer and is quite popular by the name Gyan Guru. Sunny has also been contacted by the famous film director Karan Johar for his prestigious screenplay writing project. He is a man of substance and believes that whatever he has achieved is due to his efforts only.

Sunny pessimism was evident to his fiancé Jenny ( Ayesha Takia ). Just the opposite of what Sunny is towards his life, there is man Michael Burnett ( Boman Irani ) who is optimistic about it. Michael is a 51 year old man working as a pizza delivery boy at the Mummy’s Pizza. He has a reputation of losing his job in 2 days flat but he wishes to keep this one with him. Sunny was burdened with the work on the eve of Diwali, he had to get rid of his irritating neighbor Pandey ( Saurabh Shukla ), complete his screenplay and avoid the calls he is getting for bunking the work. But the most important of these is that he has to keep Jenny away as he is going to date Maya ( Mahima Chaudhary ).
