Hum Tum, directed by Kunal Kohli, was released on 28th May 2004. The movie was produced under the Yashraj Banner. Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee played the lead roles while Rishi Kapoor and Kiron Kher also played significant roles in the movie. The superhit music was given by Jatin-Lalit. The movie was inspired by the hit hollywood flick When Harry Met Sally. The film won several Filmfare Awards. Saif Ali Khan also won National Film Award for Best Actor for his brilliant performance in the movie.

The movie starts with Karan ( Saif Ali Khan ), who is famous cartoonist now. But few years ago, he was just an another guy searching for girls everywhere. During a from Delhi to New York, he meets Rhea ( Rani Mukerji ) who is a totally different personality from Karan. They quarrel each other during the whole trip. After a couple of years, Karan once again meets Rhea, who is going to be married to a guy named Sameer ( Abhishek Bachchan ). But this time they befriends each other.

After few years, Karan visits his father ( Rishi Kapoor ) where he accidently meets up Rhea again. He came to know about Sameer’s death from Rhea’s mother ( Kiran Kher ). He tries to fix Rhea up with his one of the best friend, Mihir ( Jimmy Shergill ). But eventually during the whole processes, Karan and Rhea ends up falling in love with each other. In the climax scene he confesses his love for Rhea and get married to her.
