Bollywood movie, Hum, directed by Mukul Anand was released on 23 January 1991. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikant and Govinda in lead roles while Kimi Katkar, Deepa Sahi, Anupam Kher, Shilpa Shirodker, Danny Denzongpa, Annu Kapoor and Kader Khan also played important charcaters in the film. The superhit music of the film was given by famous music director duo, Laxmikant Pyarelal while the songs were sung by Sudesh Bhonsle, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Amit Kumar, Alka Yagnik, Mohammed Aziz, Sonali Bajpayee and Subha Joshi.

The movie starts with Bhaktawar ( Danny Denzongpa ), who is the owner of a dockyard and there he performs his criminal activities. He treats every single person working for him as his slave. But union leader, Tiger ( Amitabh Bachchan ), is the only one who dares to stand against him. He wants to kill Bhaktawar but always stopped by his father, who is the bodygaurd of Bhaktawar. But when Bhaktawar kills his father, Tiger becomes unstoppable and he throws Bhaktawar in fire.

Now as Tiger has killed Bhaktawar, he has to run for his life from police. He leaves behind his lady love Juma Gonsalves ( Kimi Katkar ) there to wait for him. But he never returns to that place. After several years, Tiger is now Shekar, a civilised man living with his two younger brothers, Kumar ( Rajnikant ) and Vijay ( Govinda ). Kumar is married to a beautiful women named Aarti ( Deepa Sahi ) and they have a child. They are living a happy life but problems arises when Bhaktawar, who is still alive, learns about Tiger’s new name and home.
