Songs of Imaandaar


Bollywood movie, Imaandaar, directed by Sushil Mailk and written by Kulwant Jani was released on 3 April 1987. The movie starred Sanjay Dutt and Farha in lead roles while Pran, Vikas Anand, Dinesh Hingoo, Satyendra Kapoor, Shashi Kiran, Mehmood, Om Prakash, Ranjeet, Sumit Sehgal and Birbal also played important roles in the film. The melodious music of the film was given by the famous music director duo Kalyanji-Anandji while the songs were sung by Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle, Suresh Wadekar, Sadhna Sargam etc. The moveie failed to get success at the box office.

The movie starts with Rajesh aka Raju ( Sanjay Dutt ) who is an orphan living with Amina ( Shammi ). Vijay ( Rohan Kapoor ) is also an orphan adopted by Amina. Raju and Vijay consider each other best friend infact they treat each other as real brothers. Vijay wants to fulfill his dead father’s dreaming of becoming an engineer but needs money for this. Raju helps him in fullfilling all his needs and finally send him to London for higher studies. Vijay meets with a rich man named Rai Sahab ( Pran ) in London.

Rai Sahab is forced to leave London as his only daughter named Renu ( Farha ) is ill. But he later learns that Renu is perfectly alright and played a prank on him. Renu wants to live her life on her own terms and is planning to get married to her lover, Kailash ( Sumit Sehgal ). How all these characters are related with each other and what happens in their life when they learsn about their connections, is the real story of the film.
