Bollywood romantic movie, Indian Babu, directed by Lawrence D’Souza was released on March 7, 2003. The movie starred Jaz Pandher and Gurleen Chopra in lead roles while Mukesh Rishi, Alok Nath, Rajat Gawda, Johnny Lever, Rajeev Verma, Nishigandha Wad, Shama Deshpande and Mohan Joshi also played important characters in the film. The melodious music of the movie was directed by none other than well known music director duo Nadeem Shravan while the songs were rendered by Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Jaspinder Narula etc.

The movie starts with a beautiful girl named Dil ( Gurleen Chopra ), who is engaged to a guy named, Abhay ( Rajat Gowda ). Abhay is the son of Thakur Suraj Pratap Singh ( Mukesh Rishi ), who is a close friend of Dil’s father. But everyone get shcoked when it is revealed that Dil has a hole in her heart. Abhay’s london based uncle, Karan Thakur ( Mohan Joshi ) ask her famil to send her to London for heart surgery. Dil visits London for her heart surgery and there meets with a young and handsome guy named Jeet ( Jaz Pandher ). Soon they both falls in love with each other.

After her successful heart operation, Abhay and Dil leaves to India. Jeet also decides to go to India to bring back his lady love. Dil intorduce him to her family as her friend. Jeet is welcomed by everyone in the family. Jeet then decides to create such a situation which will force Dil’s father to break her engagement with Abhay. But unfortunately, Abhay reveals about the love affair of Jeet and Dil. Jeet then gets the shock of his life when he reveals that his mother is still alive.
