Bollywood suspense action thriller, Inspector, directed by Chand was released in the year 1970. The movie starred Joy Mukherjee and Alka in lead roles while Helen, Jayant, Asha Nadkarni, Rajendra nath, M. B. Shetty, Kiran Kumar and Samina also played important characters in the film. The evergreen melodious music of the movie was directed by N. Dutt while the songs were rendered by Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar etc.

Rajesh ( Joy Mukherjee ) is a dedicated and brave officer. He is famous among the Indian agents team with the code name of Agent 007. He is asked to go on a mission by his superirors. He reveals that the last officer, who was working on the same case before being being murdered by terrorists, was known to the deadly plan of the terrorists. Rajesh decides to first reveal about the terrorists plan. He get shocked to learn that terrorists are about to released a deadly gas through the atmosphere that will result in the death of everyone who inhales it. He then decides to inquire his headquarters about this deadly plan of terrorists.

He then come across a beautiful women named Rita ( Alka ) and falls in love with her. Unfortunately Rajesh’s real identity if revealed to terrorists. Now rajesh is on a run from terrorists in order to save his life and also to send the details of terrorists plan to his headquarters. He get shocked to reveal that Rita is actually working for terrorists. What will he do now?
